The notoriously difficult road conditions between Poipet and Siem Reap have greatly improved. Now from Poipet to Sisophon it takes 90 min for 51 km road. Even on the portion between Sisophon and Bantey Chmar the condition of the red soil road has improved. Then from Banteay Chhmar to Samrong it takes about 1h30. The road is unpaved and can be bumpy on some portions, especially after the rainy season.
