Hanoi hosts third international circus festival (30-07-2010 02:26:02)
The third International Circus Festival will take place in the capital city of Hanoi from August 6-11.

The event will attract art troupes from the Republic of Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba and Vietnam.

Five Vietnamese art units will perform at the festival including troupes from Hanoi, HCM City, Vung Tau, Quang Tri and the Vietnam Secondary School of Circus Arts.

The event will offer an opportunity for artists to share experiences in the field of art creativity, and especially introducing Vietnam’s circus to the world.

The festival will also provide Vietnamese artists with a chance to observe circus troupes from other nations, contributing to developing Vietnam’s circus artistry with inspiration from other circus artists worldwide.

The event is co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Performing Arts and the Vietnam Circus Federation.
