So far eight teams from the provinces and cities of Can Tho, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh have registered to take part in the event organized by the locality’s Department of Culture, Sports & Tourism.
Each province has a male and female team, with the host province being allowed two male teams and one female team. The competition consists of 800m and 1,200m races for men and 600m and 1,000m events for women.
This is one of the numerous sporting activities to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (Sept. 2).
