French presents documents on Hanoi Opera House (05-09-2011 10:49:12)
President of the French National Heritage League Philippe Chaplain on Sept. 3 handed over a number of photos and historical documents on the Hanoi Opera House to Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Chaplain said that proceeding from the friendship between the two countries and his esteem of historical documents, he decided to present these original photos and documents to Vietnam as the country is celebrating 100 years of the French-styled cultural work in November.

Ambassador Duong Chi Dung thanked Chaplain for his valuable gifts as well as his fine sentiments towards Vietnam .

Philippe Chaplain has been well-known in Vietnam for his contributions to the 1,000 th celebration of Thang Long-Hanoi.
