It has helped attract a great many tourists, who travel to Lao Cai City by train before going by coach to the Sapa tourist area to experience both the rice fields and the hospitality of ethnic Mong and Dao girls in colourful costumes and to soak up the view of Mount Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam (3143m).
