The HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has completed an inventory of historical-cultural relics in the city that it plans to recommend for recognition as national and city-level relics.
Traditional dishes of Vietnamese and Japanese food will be on display at a gastronomy night, which is to be held in Hoi An Town, Quang Nam Province on July 7. The programme, co-organised by the Quang Nam Tourism Association, Hoi An Hotel and the Japan’s Institute for Human Resource Development, will spotlight dishes made by professor Iijima Yukichika, Vice Director of the Association of Global Hotel Management.
The coastal province of Binh Thuan will organize the International Yacht Festival 2010 on October 21 to 24 at Mui Ne Beach, which will be the biggest tourism event of the province this year, a tourism official said.
The tourism authorities of Hanoi and three neighboring provinces will cooperate to tap their local potentials and thus make their tourism products more attractive to travelers.
Nearly 376,000 international visitors have arrived in the country this month, a 7% rise from last month and a 34.6% year-on-year pickup, though this is a low season, said the National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
