Fifth European Food Festival to cook up a storm in Hanoi (19-05-2010 )

The fifth European Food Festival will be held in Hanoi on May 22 on the garden grounds of the National Library of Vietnam. Speaking at a press conference on May 14 in Hanoi, Preben Hjortlund, Deputy Chairman of EuroCham, said Eurocham began the festival in 2005 to promote cooperation between the European and Vietnamese communities.

Close to 200 documents and photos on President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam-France Friendship” are on display at an exhibition that opened in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on May 17. The two-week exhibition was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien-Hue and French artist Dominique de Miscault on the occasion of the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 20th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of him as a hero of national liberation and an outstanding cultural celebrity in Vietnam.

Vietnam-Laos friendship highlighted at Vientiane exhibition (17-05-2010 )
120 photos were showcased at an exhibition entitled “Vietnam-Laos relations in the Age of Ho Chi Minh” in the Lao capital city of Vientiane on May 14. The exhibition focuses on three topics: Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh, the person who laid the foundation for Vietnam-Laos friendship, the relationship between Vietnam and Laos during the two struggles for independence, and their relationship since 1975.
