The central province of Quang Binh has been chosen to be the highlighted destination at the HCMC Tourism Day 2010, organisers of the annual event said at a press conference.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is calling on local and foreign individual and organizations to make a new logo and slogan for marketing activities of the country’s tourism in the 2011-2015 period, an official said.
As one of the activities celebrating Hanoi’s 1,000th anniversary, the city will prepare a time capsule for future generations. The selection of objects for the time capsule will take place at various points in the countdown to the anniversary of the capital.
Nine stories of the lives, dreams and struggles of the people of three Mekong River countries - Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia - are featured at an exhibition in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang. “The Mekong’s story: Challenge and dream,” a mobile exhibition, was jointly opened at the provincial museum on March 30 by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Heritage and Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
